I’m back to share this month’s bouquet — a super sweet Christmas present from my husband. Like last month’s arrangement, these flowers didn’t come from the grocery store. Instead of buying a $3–$5 bouquet, we spent nothing and clipped a bunch of fuchsia and coral roses from our backyard. These roses were planted by the previous owners, and even though we’ve never fussed over them or fertilized them, they return reliably year after year. Here they are brightening our living room in a deep ruby-red vase:

I love how the two tones work together — the deeper fuchsia blooms frame the arrangement while the coral roses fill the center, creating a lively contrast and a balanced composition.

Even John paused to admire the bouquet. Maybe it stands out because we don’t usually have red and pink accents in the house, so the arrangement really pops and draws attention. It’s a lovely, punchy accessory — and it didn’t cost us a dime.

What about you — have you been bringing home cheerful blooms from your yard or picking up bouquets from the store? We’d love to hear what’s blooming for you now that summer is here and what bouquets your backyard is producing.
