Round Mirror Above Our Desk: Stylish Home Office Decor Ideas

I’ve been obsessed with round mirrors lately. With so many rectangles and squares in a typical room — windows, doors, beams, beds, cribs, fireplaces — adding a curved shape feels like a refreshing contrast that softens all those right angles.

We picked this one up at Hobby Lobby during a sale — 50% off all wall hangings — so it was $65 instead of $130. For a 30″ ornate, oil-rubbed bronze mirror, that felt like a great find.

It does look a little small against that large wall (see the first photo), but once we hang curtains high and wide on the big picture window and shift the mirror over a bit, it should sit much better in the space.

We haven’t decided yet whether to keep the oil-rubbed bronze finish or paint the frame. The final choice will probably come after the curtains are up, since switching to bronze curtain rods could make the current finish feel cohesive. Alternatively, a bold color like deep plum could add a playful touch, or painting it white might help it tie in with the white frames already on the wall. That glossy white look can be especially striking, depending on the surrounding accessories and finishes.
