Materials:
• 3 different yarns calling for 5,5 mm hook in orange, white and black
• Size 3.5 mm crochet hook
• 2 black safety eyes (6 mm)
• Poly-Fil Fiberfill stuffing
• Stitch markers

• magic ring (mr)
• single crochet (sc)

• invisible decrease (dec)
• slip stitch (sl st)

• double crochet (dc)What did I use?
Light worsted yarn in orange, white and black.
I used « I love this cotton ! » from Hobby Lobby in Black (color 2), White (color 6) and Glowing (color 102).
How to crochet a small fish?
Let’s start this crochet clownfish!
Head and Body – Nemo Crochet Pattern
Work in rounds, do not turn unless specified. If needed, use a stitch marker for the first stitch of each round.
With the orange yarn and the 3.5 mm hook
- Round 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
- Round 2: inc 6 times. (12)
- Round 3: [sc in next st, inc in next st] x6. (18)
- Rounds 4 to 5: sc in all st. (18)
Change for the white yarn:
- Rounds 6 to 7: sc in all st. (18)
Place safety eyes between rows 2 and 3, spaced by 2 st.
Change for the orange yarn:
- Rounds 8 to 9: sc in all st. (18)
Start to stuff the fish.
Change for the white yarn:
- Round 10: [sc in next st, dec in next st] x6. (12)
- Round 11: sc in all st. (12)
Change for the orange yarn:
- Rounds 12 to 13: sc in all st. (12)
Stuff the fish.
- Round 14: dec all st. (6)
Close the body.

Caudal fin – Nemo Crochet Pattern
Starting with the black yarn and the 3.5 mm hook
- Row 1: ch 4. (4)
- Row 2: turn, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in the 2 next st. (3)
Change for the orange yarn:
- Row 3: Turn, ch 1. 1 sc in the 3 st. (3)
- Row 4: Turn, ch 1. 1 sc in the 3 st. (3)
- Row 5: Turn, ch 1. 1 sc in the first st, 1 dec. (2)
Attach the fin to the end of the body.
Pelvic fins – Nemo Crochet Pattern
Make 2 identical fins as follow:
NB: I did not do it but if you want to make one of the fins smaller, I would suggest you to make one fin with a 4 mm crochet hook and the other one with a 3 mm crochet hook.
Starting with the black yarn and the 3.5 mm hook
- Row 1: ch 3. (3)
- Row 2: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in the next st. (2)
Change for the orange yarn:
- Row 3: Turn, ch 1. 1 sc in the 2 st. (2)
- Row 4: Turn, ch 1. 1 dec. (1)
Attach the two fins each side of the body between Rounds 7 and 8.
Dorsal fin – Nemo Crochet Pattern
Make 1 dorsal fin as follow:
Starting with the orange yarn and the 3.5 mm hook
- Row 1: ch 6. (6)
- Row 2: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in the next st, 1 dc, 1 sc in the 2 next st . (5)
Change for the black yarn:
- Row 3: Turn, ch 1. 1 sc in all st. (5)
Attach the dorsal fin at the top center of the body. I placed the front of the fin between rows 5 and 6.
