If this magazine cover looks familiar, you might have already noticed that the second edition of our “He Said, She Said” column in Do It Yourself magazine is now on newsstands.

Seeing the column in print again was just as exciting as the first time we tackled decorating disagreements from both sides of the gender line. This issue gave us the chance to answer even more reader questions and feature a two-page spread. We also worked with a professional illustrator to render one of our floor-plan suggestions, which made translating our ideas into a visual layout feel a lot like describing a subject for a sketch artist—only with less drama and more talk about proportions, furniture placement, and scale. Below you can view a preview of the pages; click each image to enlarge them, or pick up a copy at bookstores and home improvement retailers that sell magazines to see the full spread.
If you have a guy-vs-girl decorating dilemma you’d like us to consider for a future issue, leave your question as a comment on this post for a chance to be selected by our editor. Including a “before” photo hosted on a site like Flickr is helpful but not required. If chosen, your space could be the next one we develop professionally and illustrate—so don’t be shy about sharing your decorating challenge.
