We’ve been holding onto a fun secret: a little road trip and a real-life meet-up with a favorite blogger. Now that the secret’s out, we’re excited to share the highlights from our visit and a peek into Katie Bower’s cheerful, well-organized home.

That’s Katie Bower from All Bower Power. After months of commenting and emailing, Katie invited John and me to her lovely house in Atlanta. We happily packed up for a road trip, spent three days at Casa Bower, and enjoyed nonstop conversation, late nights, and plenty of laughter. The guys even squeezed in a racquetball game while we sat nearby and chatted for hours.
Although it felt like a mini vacation, we did get some work done too. Katie and I teamed up for a quick decorating project: we rearranged a corner of her bedroom with no budget, using only items on hand and a couple of power tools. John and Jeremy quietly captured footage, which we turned into a short decorating video that shows the simple steps we took to refresh the space.

We also know many of you love peeking into closets, so while we were there we snapped photos of Katie’s dreamy dressing room. We’re calling this new feature “Closet Crashing” and plan to keep sharing more wardrobe tours in future posts. Katie’s closet is bright, colorful, and organized by color—an irresistible sight for anyone who loves tidy storage and cheerful design.

Her wardrobe arrangement resembles John’s closet at home because they both use the same Ikea wardrobes with white curtains for concealed storage. I mentioned it looks more like John’s closet than mine because my own wardrobe is mostly black—John’s colorful shirts photograph much better than my monochrome collection.
Curious about jewelry storage? Katie uses clear Ikea drawers that slide out easily, making it simple to see and grab pieces. She organizes accessories by color and material, so everything is easy to find and visually appealing.

The extra bedroom’s wall of wardrobes provides abundant storage—bins, baskets, shelves, and hanging rods keep clothing and accessories neatly contained. Katie’s organized changing area was one of my favorite parts of the visit; it’s practical, pretty, and perfectly suited to her colorful style.

This was just a peek at what we captured during our weekend visit. We took lots of photos, filmed a short Flip video, and left with new ideas and plenty of inspiration. Stay tuned for the full decorating reveal, step-by-step tips, and more Closet Crashing features coming soon.
