The paneling project is taking a bit longer than we expected, so we don’t have a full update yet. In the meantime, we wanted to share an inspiring office we recently visited.
Every so often a shop or workspace inspires us enough that we decide to drop in—just like when we visited a fun kids consignment shop. This time we popped into the Towne & Reese office, a jewelry company named after the owners’ daughters, thanks to a house-crashing connection from a few years back. You might remember that house crash; here are a few photos to jog your memory:

Here’s a photo of the couple with their daughter Towne from that visit:

The couple are Christi and Barret; Christi is one half of Towne & Reese. With Christi’s strong sense of style, we couldn’t resist stopping by to see how she transformed a bland blank-slate office. This is what the space looked like before:

And here’s the office now. The moment you walk in, a bright blue wall greets you with the company logo. That wall color, Valspar’s Tropical Oasis, was chosen directly from a rug that inspired the whole makeover. The leather pouf and side table are local finds from Post & Gray.

To the right of the logo wall is another teal wall—also Tropical Oasis—displaying their jewelry. Christi covered the wall with a grid of linen canvases in various shapes and sizes, which she uses to pin up necklaces and other pieces. Interspersed among the canvases is a large, secondhand mirror from Post & Gray that serves as both a statement piece and a functional spot for buyers to try on jewelry.

Christi found the linen canvases affordably at Binders by signing up as a “preferred customer,” which unlocked excellent canvas deals. The large mirror’s grass-cloth-like texture and ornate top make it a striking focal point.

Beyond the canvas wall, Christi pulled a second accent color from the rug: a vibrant raspberry called Panama Rose by Olympic. That wall adds a playful pop behind a charming secondhand meeting table, with rugs from Ikea and the table sourced locally at The Sleepy Poet.

The metal chairs at the table are stackable industrial-style pieces purchased from Overstock, and the convincing greenery is from Ikea. The space balances industrial seating and darker accents with warm, budget-friendly finds.

Facing the raspberry wall, there’s a shelf with black stools (also from Overstock) and a deep, rich chalkboard wall. Christi uses Valspar’s Chalkboard Paint from Lowe’s, which produced a dense, non-cloudy finish that looks fantastic.

Kids are welcome here—there’s a small Ikea table with colorful poufs from Urban Outfitters and a chalkboard wall that has already been doodled on by the company’s young fans. The playful details keep the office inviting and family-friendly.

Christi expertly mixes elegant industrial pieces with secondhand finds, affordable items, bold colors, and whimsical touches—linen canvases for jewelry displays, the chalkboard wall, a kid station, and a gallery of jewelry and family photos. The combination feels polished yet approachable.

One charming detail: rings displayed on a plate of dry beans—simple, inexpensive, and boutique-worthy. Christi’s creative, budget-conscious styling makes the office feel happy, inviting, and perfectly suited to a jewelry brand.
Big thanks to Christi and Jessica—the two halves of Towne & Reese—for letting us explore their space. They were gracious hosts, and they even offered a discount code for their jewelry line: YOUNGHOUSELOVE15 for 15% off.
So, what’s your favorite part of the space? It’s hard to choose, but the linen canvases, the black stools, and that cheerful raspberry wall are at the top of our list.
