We’ve finally reached the moment many of you have been waiting for: a simple, easy-to-browse mood board gallery. After plenty of late-night tinkering and more than a few coding headaches, we created a Mood Boards section you can explore by color or by room. You’ll find the new Mood Boards tab near our blog header.
We gathered every mood board we’ve created over the last three years—nearly 150 in total—and spent dozens of hours building a straightforward browsing system. The result is a practical, visual tool to spark ideas for color palettes, furniture layouts, and accessory groupings. Even when specific items aren’t available anymore, the compositions remain useful guides for finding similar pieces or for DIY projects. Hopefully these boards will be the creative nudge you need to begin your next room refresh. If a mood board inspires a transformation, we’d love to see before-and-after photos and a link to the board that started it all.
This idea gallery will keep growing: new mood boards will be added regularly, and the most recent boards are shown first. You can search by color or by room, or if you prefer, browse the entire collection. Click any thumbnail to view a larger image and to access the full source list for that board. While the gallery isn’t built with flashy technology, it’s designed to make it easier to absorb and use the furniture- and accessory-filled boards we create.
We’re also planning a companion gallery to organize the many inspiring reader “afters” we’ve featured over the years—Reader Redesigns, solved Design Dilemmas, and House Crashings—so you’ll eventually be able to search finished projects by room and by color too. For now, we’re taking it one step at a time and will add that database when we can. In the meantime, dive into the Mood Boards tab, click through the thumbnails, and enjoy exploring the collection. We hope it gives you plenty of inspiration and makes planning your next makeover more fun and manageable.
