Laura’s lamp makeover really brightened things up. It’s impressive what a fresh coat of spray paint can achieve. Here’s the note she sent:
I wanted to share this quick DIY I finished last Friday after getting out of work early. I found a lamp at the Salvation Army in Alexandria, VA, and stopped at Home Depot for spray paint and polyurethane. The project didn’t take long. I used Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in satin Aqua and finished with a clear gloss coat. I also want to say how much I love your blog — you’re very talented, and I’m thrilled you’re just a few hours south of me. Yay for locals! — Laura

Laura’s lamp makeover proves great style doesn’t have to be expensive. We especially love that she chose a secondhand piece and gave it new life — nice recycling, Laura! If you want more details about her process, check her blog for the full write-up. And if you’re inspired, leave a comment to tell her how much you like the result. Cheers to locals and the magic of spray paint.
