When we decided more than two years ago to number every tip in our book, we hoped to one day provide an online place where readers could upload their own takes on any project alongside the project number. That day has finally arrived. This page will be accessible from our book page, so whenever you want to browse reader-submitted projects inspired by the book, you’ll find them here. Over time this collection will keep growing as more people share their work.
Think of it as a book-focused Pinterest-style challenge that never expires: add your project now and come back later to see what others have made. Whether you recreated something exactly or put a new spin on a project, we’d love to see it. Below are a few favorites readers have shared — and you can upload your own project below, even if you don’t have a blog.
- Project #120: Make Paint-Chip Art — Margaux & Steve at Young Nesters.

- Project #179: Gold Recycled Bookends — Courtney at A Thoughtful Place.

- Project #193: Sketch On A Pillow — Vel at Buhay At Bahay.

- Project #147: Make Tissue Paper Art — submitted by a reader named Alise. She traced a fish outline onto tissue paper, cut it out instead of creating scallops or scales, then Mod Podged the pieces to canvas. The single orange fish adds a playful focal point.

- Project #68: Paint A Headboard On The Wall — Kenz at Interiors By Kenz.

We’d love for you to share your version of any project from our book. If you have a blog, link directly to the specific post about your project. If you don’t have a blog, you can use a public photo-sharing link such as Flickr or a public Facebook photo. Here’s how to submit your project:
- Click the blue “Add Your Link” button at the bottom of this post (you may need to scroll depending on how many projects are listed).
- In the URL field, paste a link to the specific blog post or the Flickr/Facebook photo about your project (not your blog home page).
- In the “name” field, enter the project number (for example: “Project #114”) instead of your personal name, blog name, or a project description.
We can’t wait to see what you’ve created!
