Our New Kitchen Cabinets: Installation Complete and Tour Inside

They look like Brangelina—so stunning it feels almost unfair.

The cabinet installation made major progress today. Our installer has finished everything except a reversed corner cabinet that needed to be reordered; he’ll also install the baseboard once that cabinet arrives. He mounted the microwave, hung all the cabinet doors, installed the brushed-nickel hardware, and added the crown molding, which really finished the look. Bellissimo. But enough talk—here are the photos.

This is the view of the kitchen from the widened doorway into the living/dining room:

And here’s the right side. We especially love the glass-front corner cabinet — it keeps the space feeling open and will showcase our plates and glassware. The blue film visible on the dishwasher and microwave is protective plastic we haven’t removed yet:

Now if only that reordered cabinet would arrive soon so we can move forward with the countertops. It’s scheduled to arrive by the 17th, though I’m cautiously optimistic. I’m confident the finished kitchen will be worth the wait, so for now I’ll be counting down the hours, minutes, and seconds until the 17th.
