When Melinda read about our little tray tiling project, she and her husband decided to try their hand at customizing a tray as well. Here’s her note:
My husband and I were inspired by your DIY tray project from a couple of weeks ago. My sister is a huge tea drinker, so I decided to make her a tea tray for Christmas using an old British ad slogan. Here are some photos from the process. Thanks for the daily dose of inspiration! — Melinda

Melinda found the tray at Pier One and picked up the striped and floral paper at a local scrapbook shop. She printed the “Tea Revives You” graphic at home and used the same liquid resin we recommended from Michael’s to seal the design. The whole project cost roughly $25 — an affordable, personalized gift for a tea-loving sister.
We appreciate Melinda sharing her lovely tray photos and the simple process. If anyone else has made a customized tray, please send your photos our way — we love seeing creative DIY projects and sharing them for inspiration.
