One of my favorite post-wedding decor projects was this shadow box I put together to capture the sunny, joyful vibe of our big day. I used leftover yellow fabric from our table runners, a printed lemon-and-lime napkin, place cards we’d stamped and anchored with small river rocks, our lemon-topiary invitation, a save-the-date photostrip, a gladiolus-bulb favor bag with another photostrip that reads “plant one… on us,” and a postcard made from our favorite wedding photo that doubled as a thank-you note to guests.

Two years on, the shadow box still sits proudly in our laundry nook, positioned in front of two larger white frames that hide the pipes and plugs behind the washer and dryer. The larger frames contain nothing more than simple tan wrapping paper — proof that thoughtful displays don’t need elaborate materials. Sometimes the best decor comes from a clearance aisle at Target.

We also framed several of our favorite photo strips — three per frame — and arranged them above the console table in the living room. Placed among black-and-white prints, they create a playful mix-and-match gallery that blends personal memories with more traditional artwork.

How have you displayed items from your wedding at home? Do you have creative projects to share — handmade albums, gallery walls featuring wedding portraits, or unexpected installations? I’d love to hear how others turn wedding keepsakes into everyday decor.
