When Brianne sent us her before-and-after bathroom photos, we were excited to share her beautiful transformation. Here’s her note about the project:
We completely redid our builder-grade bathroom. It began as a stark white space with linoleum floors and brass fixtures, and it didn’t even have a closet — which felt impossible for a full bathroom. Every time I walked in, it was my worst nightmare. My handy husband Bill reclaimed some hallway space to add a closet, built a custom vanity by hand, and constructed a frame for an old mirror we had lying around. We installed a new low-profile toilet and a brand new tub/shower. Bill tiled the floor and walls with travertine, and we painted the rest of the room a warm putty color to create an earthy, spa-like atmosphere. We also added a raised sink and a granite countertop. The result is a dramatic change from the stark white room we bought with the house. We love it — enjoy! — Brianne
