Something about the knobs in our kitchen makes us feel like we’re being watched.
Maybe you don’t notice it at first, but after looking at them for a few weeks, they start to take on personalities. Suddenly the arrangement of shapes and shadows looks a little like this to us:
My favorite is the pirate.
It’s a small, silly thing, but it’s reached the point where we’ll have to address it sooner or later. We feel a bit like characters in that quirky Geico commercial—only without the payoff of a pile of cash (or the techno soundtrack). In fact, playing that commercial while looking at the photo above really heightens the effect.
Now we can’t eat breakfast without singing, “Somebody’s watching meeeeeeee.”
