We were excited to be featured in the latest issue of R. Home magazine, the popular home & garden sister publication of our hometown’s Richmond Magazine.

The July/August issue arrived after several weeks of anticipation. The magazine contacted us in April to request an interview and a professional photoshoot, so we’ve been looking forward to seeing the finished piece. We’re delighted with the result — and especially relieved that the photos turned out well (Sherry was worried her pose might have looked odd on one page, so she’s particularly happy).

The feature tells the story of how Young House Love began and highlights several of our favorite before-and-after projects, including the sunroom, the den, the master bedroom and the kitchen. The professional images showcase each space in a way that feels true to the projects and to our design approach.
If you’d like to read the full article, there’s a PDF available. Local readers can also find the issue at Kroger, Barnes & Noble or Ukrops. We think it’s best enjoyed in print, where the glossy photos really shine.
If you’re visiting for the first time because of the magazine: welcome. Feel free to look around our site and stay awhile. We hope to meet a few readers in town — don’t hesitate to say hello if you recognize us.
