Stencil a Corkboard: Step-by-Step Guide for Perfect Designs

Jenna created an adorable mini makeover using a $10 corkboard and an inexpensive piece of patterned fabric. Here’s the note she sent:

I love this blog and have picked up so many project ideas from your posts and the Reader Redesigns. My husband and I wanted to introduce a few green accents into our blue, beige, and espresso living room. When I needed fabric to re-cover our patio cushions, I spotted an opportunity at the fabric store. We bought a mail sorter/key holder/cork board on clearance at Kohl’s for about $10, but the plain cork didn’t fit our aesthetic. With a dollar’s worth of fabric, some ribbon, and craft spray adhesive, I customized it in under an hour. I followed an online tutorial I found and it was a fast, affordable way to refresh the room. -Jenna

Isn’t it charming? The patterned fabric and ribbon trim add personality, and the makeover was extremely budget-friendly. Thanks to Jenna for sharing the photos — small, inexpensive updates can make a big difference.
