We did our best to keep things from getting painfully awkward. Did we succeed? You decide. As part of this year’s blogiversary celebrations, we asked readers to submit personal (non-decorating) questions on our Facebook page last week. More than two hundred questions poured in, so Sherry and I answered as many as we could while Clara napped one afternoon, then edited everything down into a 20-minute video. Among the revelations (tongue firmly in cheek), you’ll learn:

A few quick notes:
- Sherry is mortified that she leans toward the camera the whole time. We didn’t notice until we watched the finished video back, so there you have it: my nervous, fidgety wife.
- You may notice a shift in lighting and focus toward the end. The camera actually fell asleep and shut off, so we taped the final portion as a second take. We really did talk long enough to bore the camera to sleep.
- Clara (and Burger, apparently) were napping, which is why they don’t appear in this video. We did make a bonus Q&A featuring the real stars — Clara and Burger. This is the first blogiversary where Clara can put words together coherently, so we thought it would be fun to let her answer simple questions like “What’s your favorite number?” — yes, we’re grilling her.
So there you have it — nearly 25 minutes of us chatting about personal stuff instead of home projects, which feels both strange and fun. Did anything surprise you?
