After three years in Richmond with hardly any measurable snowfall, Mother Nature finally delivered: about eight inches of fresh, powdery snow.

It’s stunning—truly breathtaking. We’ve always loved the look of snow, and this blanket of white is everything we hoped for.

In three years of owning our home we’ve dealt with primer splatters and renovation dust, but we’d never seen it wrapped in a soft, fresh snowfall like this. Bellissimo.

Around here, more than an inch of snow often feels like a local emergency, so it’s likely John will enjoy a few unexpected days off. Fingers crossed.
But a snow day doesn’t mean the blog goes quiet. We’ll be back soon with new decorating ideas and a giveaway, so stay tuned for more updates.
