Back in April we announced three winners in our Behr paint giveaway, and now one of those winners has returned with photos of her painted room transformation. It’s always a pleasure to see how winners put their prizes to use. Below is an excerpt from Kim’s blog post about her laundry room and entry hall makeover, which used a free gallon of Behr’s Gobi Desert.
First, let’s take a look back at the “before.” Collective shudder.
And now, the “after”! Woot!
Besides a few fresh coats of paint—Gobi Desert in the hallway and Breakfast Blend behind the appliances—we unstacked the washer and dryer, added a few shelves, and removed that old cabinet. We plan to re-hang the cabinet after painting it white and adding new hardware for a cleaner look. To create a folding surface over the washer and dryer, we bought a piece of plywood, painted it white, and sealed it with polyurethane. I also placed cabinet liners underneath to prevent scratches on the appliances. So far, it’s working out great!
