She wasn’t a local anymore, but she was here this past weekend — along with her partner Jeremy and their adorable little boy Will. If you’re not familiar with them, you can learn more on their blog: Bower Power.

We had a wonderful time hosting them — feeding them, showing them around, and enjoying each other’s company from Friday through Sunday.

As is our custom when we get together, we recorded a short video. We’ve done this before — you might remember some of our past clips from Nashville last summer. This time we returned to the basics of table styling. Starting with core pieces everyone should own — white plates, glass tumblers, and standard flatware — we added five simple accents to create three distinct table looks. These arrangements suit a casual entertaining style where food is plated or served from the kitchen and guests bring their plates to the table. If you prefer serving large platters in the center, you can still borrow color and accessory ideas from these setups and adapt them to leave more space in the middle.
If you’re at work and can’t play audio, the video still shows the table setups and lists the five items visually, so you can follow along muted. You can also watch the same video on YouTube if you prefer.
