When Grace sent photos of her stunning bathroom renovation, we had to share them — especially because she and her husband completed the entire project themselves on a tight schedule. Here is her note:
Greetings from sunny San Diego! We recently renovated our bathroom and finished the entire project in under a month. My husband Collin did most of the work, with a little help from me, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We love the glass tile around the tub, the lighter feel from replacing a bulky vanity with two pedestal sinks, and the nickel fixtures that tie the design together. Enjoy the before and after photos. – Grace
Here’s the bathroom before the renovation:

And here’s the same space after they updated nearly everything — sinks, lighting, mirrors, and tile:

The transformation is remarkable. Grace and Collin turned a dated, dim bathroom into a bright, airy space through thoughtful choices and relatively simple updates. The iridescent glass tile around the tub catches the light and becomes a focal point, while the pair of pedestal sinks opens up the room and gives it a cleaner, more elegant profile. Brushed nickel fixtures complete the look with a timeless, polished touch.
Completing such a major overhaul in a few weeks is impressive; it shows that with planning, effort, and a clear design vision you can achieve professional-looking results on a tight timeline. Grace documented many of the details on her blog, including where they sourced materials and how they handled specific stages of the renovation.
What stands out most? The tile wall is a showstopper, but the double pedestal sinks are equally appealing for the light, uncluttered feel they provide. Either way, this redo is a great example of how updating fixtures, finishes, and layout can dramatically improve both the look and feel of a bathroom.
