That’s what John thought the gift might be when he unwrapped it on Christmas morning.
By his third guess he had it: crown molding. This week our installer returned to complete the job, hanging elegant 3-inch molding in the living/dining room and three bedrooms. The result is neat and refined, and best of all John didn’t have to lift a finger. He already does enough work around the house, so I was happy to let him relax while the project was finished.

The molding looks equally handsome in the bedrooms—I’ll share more photos soon. For now, John is not complaining about a sore back or a nail gun injury. Life is good.
