It took just under six hours to reach the 10,000-entry cap for this blogiversary giveaway, so we’re posting an earlier-than-planned update to share our randomly selected winner. Congratulations to Britta (commenter on the contest post), who hopes that in five years she’ll be past the days of daily diaper duty and sleeping through the night again. Well done, Britta!
To celebrate our fifth blogiversary we offered a special “five” themed giveaway: five separate $500 prizes from five of our favorite retailers — FLOR, HomeGoods, Joss & Main, Shades of Light and Z Gallerie — for one lucky winner to spend a total of $2,500.
Each of these five companies has been part of our story in different ways. Z Gallerie has been a longtime sponsor and was even part of a past giveaway that first pushed us over 1,000 entries. They’ve supported our site since early on and continue to be part of our celebrations.
Shades of Light, based in Richmond, is another longtime partner whose pieces have popped up in our home more than once. Their outlet store is dangerous in the best possible way, and we have a fun announcement about them coming soon.
Joss & Main is a newer favorite that invited us to curate sale collections twice — a neat experience that made us feel like designers for a minute. They’re a fresh, stylish source we’ve enjoyed working with.
HomeGoods frequently appears on our blog — from small finds to larger collaborations — and they once helped us give a local family a living room makeover, which was a favorite project for us.
FLOR rounds out the five — their catalogs are always a pleasure to receive, and they’ll be involved in our upcoming book tour. We’ll share more details about that soon.
