Thanks to random.org, these three readers are getting a Mother’s Day boost: Traci (who inherited her mother’s tendency to worry), April (who shares her mom’s love of shopping, travel, and new experiences), and Stacy (who got her mom’s talent for cooking).
Becoming a mom has inspired Sherry to learn sewing (more on that in earlier posts), so we decided to celebrate with a pre-Mother’s Day giveaway featuring two fabric-filled prizes for three winners. Best of all, no sewing is required — the work is already done. The first prize is from City Chic Country Mouse, an Etsy shop full of bold, colorful pieces that bring cheer to everyday chores. Each winner can choose any of their bright, graphic ironing board covers to brighten up the laundry room:

In addition, each winner receives a custom fabric wreath from Love Elaine, a Richmond-based Etsy maker known for modern aprons, quilts, and bags. Her fabric wreaths are a favorite, and each winner can select their preferred color palette.

- PRIZE: Any ironing board cover from City Chic Country Mouse and a custom fabric wreath from Love Elaine
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “SEW ME!”
- BONUS QUESTION: Tell us one quality you’re glad you inherited — or wish you had inherited — from your mother or parental figure. Did she pass down strong family values, a great sense of style, or culinary talent? Or are you still waiting for her sewing skills to show up like Sherry?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, May 4 at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
- PRIZE SHIPS: United States and Canada
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address. Winners were selected using random.org and announced in an update to this post. Come back to see the announcement. Good luck!
