DIY Wine Cork Bulletin Board: Step-by-Step Guide for Home Decor

When Emily emailed us with a wonderful textural, natural DIY project, we knew we had to share it. Here’s her note:

I really REALLY enjoy reading your blog. I’m totally hooked—you have so many great, attainable ideas. I’m constantly inspired by what you create, and recently I completed one of my own DIY projects: a wine cork bulletin board. It was simple but very rewarding. I shared the full process on my blog, but I wanted to send photos and say thank you for the everyday inspiration—from painting a wall to traveling with your little furbaby. Thank you very much. – Emily

She’s so sweet, and we’re blushing. Now for the eye candy. Emily started with inexpensive old frames she already had around:

She painted the frames black to ensure no background would show through once the corks were glued in place:

Next she used a glue gun to secure the corks, working carefully to create a neat, uniform surface:

Here’s the lovely grid of cork bulletin boards Emily finished—an attractive, budget-friendly display that adds texture and warmth:

She did a fantastic job. We often keep corks around for texture and a bit of natural interest, so this project suits our style perfectly. Would you try a cork bulletin board after seeing Emily’s result? Share your thoughts or plans—we’d love to hear about your DIY attempts and variations.

Psst—If you like cork projects, here are a couple of quick ideas that spotlight corks: a simple table setting that turns collected wine corks into decor, and an in-cabinet cork board that’s an inexpensive way to add kitchen organization.
