Have we been asking for your votes forever, or is it just us? Ever since we refreshed our porch for BHG’s 48-Hour Challenge in April, we’ve been refreshing the voting page every morning to watch the numbers change. It’s been a wild ride — full of nervous excitement, nail-biting moments, and plenty of laughs. With the contest ending this Friday, we’re not sure what we’ll do when the suspense is over. Will our palms stop sweating? Will our nails grow back? Will we stop experimenting with John’s facial hair in photos?
Instead of one more frantic plea in the final days, we want to take this chance to thank BHG and The Home Depot for an amazing experience and to congratulate our fellow challengers. Every project — from Marc’s grill cart and Dave’s arbor to Jen’s potting bench — inspired us and reminded us how infectious a good outdoor makeover can be each spring.

We also want to give a special shout-out to Nicole at Making It Lovely. We’ve admired Nicole’s work since early in our blogging days, and her porch update is nothing short of stylish perfection. We’ve become blog friends over the past year and were thrilled to discover she was competing alongside us. It’s a pleasure to be in such talented company — and honestly, we wish everyone could win.
Below are a few favorite porch photos from our makeover, along with a heartfelt thank-you to you — our readers — for following along and cheering us on.

To everyone who voted for us — whether once or every day — we are deeply grateful. The thousands of clicks and the support we received on this wild ride meant more than we can say. Prize money would be wonderful, but the experience itself has been priceless. Thank you for sticking with us, cheering us on, and making this challenge so memorable. In short: we love you.
