I’m back to share my cheap monthly bouquet—a sweet little gift from my husband—and this March I picked up a mixed bunch from the grocery store.

One of the joys of a varied assortment is how the look changes when you turn the vase (or in my case, an old bathroom drinking glass repurposed as a vase). Here’s the same arrangement from a different angle.

A large pink focal bloom paired with lime-colored accents and several smaller pink blooms = total love.

We like to get at least two arrangements out of one $4.99 grocery-store bouquet, which makes each arrangement under $2.50. Here’s the other half of this month’s split.

Check out those little purple blooms—the tiny white flowers popping from them almost look like miniature blooms growing on top of blooms.

What do you think of my March mix? Can you identify any of these flowers? One downside of budget bouquets is they rarely include plant information, and my flower identification skills are limited.
The biggest surprise in our grocery-bouquet experiment has been their longevity. Each month’s flowers have lasted beautifully for at least three weeks. Changing the water every few days and trimming the stems once a week seems to make a big difference. Both the January and February bouquets stayed looking fresh for more than 21 days, so here’s hoping this March mix carries me well into April.
Speaking of spring, has it arrived where you are? Are you doing anything special to welcome the warmer weather—spring cleaning, planting, or little home refreshes? I’d love to hear what you’re up to as the season changes.
