We’re excited to share recent projects from Jen Woodhouse, a prolific DIYer who recently moved from Nashville to the Richmond area and has been busy nesting. Jen documents her projects on her blog The House of Wood. Below she describes several renovations and DIY pieces she created for her home and nursery.
Inspired by your Craigslist dresser refinishing project, I refinished an older dresser to use as a changing table and dresser for our little one. You can read more about the project on my blog.

I also wanted to share a tufted headboard I made and some inexpensive artwork I created to hang above it. The headboard was a satisfying upholstery project, and the artwork was a budget-friendly way to add personality to the room. You can find step-by-step instructions and photos on my blog.

Another small project I enjoyed was creating clothing dividers to organize baby clothes. I bought blank clothing dividers from an online supplier for about $0.29 each, designed a printable template, added cute backgrounds, and printed them on full-sheet white labels. After cutting them out and adhering them to the dividers, they made sorting baby clothes quick and attractive. I shared the template and more photos on the blog.

Thanks to everyone who inspired me along the way. We’re thrilled with how these projects turned out and can’t wait to see them used in everyday life. Which project is your favorite? Are you nesting or tackling similar DIY projects—refinishing furniture, sewing a headboard, making art, or organizing baby clothes? Share what you’re working on.
