Create a Charming DIY Daisy Bouquet for Your Home

TGIF… or rather, thank goodness it’s February.

This new month brought another cheerful delivery of fresh flowers, a gift from my husband: a bouquet a month for a year. This time we grabbed a plump bunch of white daisies from our local grocery store for just $4. I split the flowers into three simple arrangements — one vase, one mercury glass votive and one old bathroom cup — which works out to about $1.33 per arrangement. A very small luxury that brightens the home.

Like last month, one bouquet sits on my desk. It makes long hours in front of the computer feel a little less mechanical and a lot more pleasant.

Another arrangement brightens our dining table — I swear meals feel a bit more romantic when flowers are present.

The final little cluster lives in the bathroom, so we can enjoy the view while brushing our teeth.

Just for fun, here’s a look back at last month’s bouquet. We picked alstroemerias in early January and they held up beautifully — over three weeks — thanks to regular water changes and trimming the stems. They lasted well into February and gave us plenty of enjoyment.
