My recent trip to IKEA left me giddy — they’ve rolled out a lot of new pieces — so I took photos to share. This wasn’t sponsored; it was just a fun shopping excursion. Here’s a quick virtual tour of what caught my eye.
First up: this gorgeous chair. I’m obsessed. It’s the Storsele at $119, and that black lacquer-like finish sold me immediately.

There were a couple of other favorites: the Hogsten for $89.99 and the Storsele in yellow for $119.99. The two names together sound like a boutique — Hogsten & Storsele. I’d love two yellow Storseles in my sunroom; they’d be perfect.

Next: the Vittsjo shelving units — small for $40 and large for $70. These have been popular in blog makeovers, sprayed in gold, white, teal, and more. They’re versatile and stylish.

We also checked out the Stockholm sofa table ($199). It has a mid-century-modern vibe with nice tapered legs — charming and simple.

IKEA introduced colored Malm dressers — the small at $49.99 and the large at $79.99. The teal tone was muted and moody, not neon — a great option if you want color without it being overwhelming.

There were also Slatthult stickers for $9.99 — a sweet little accent that would brighten a girl’s room painted a very pale pink with white furniture. A small floral pop can make a subtle space feel playful.

I tried to link to items when I could find them online, so if a price isn’t listed here, it’s because I couldn’t locate it. One unmarked table charmed me — I liked the design and the price, though I didn’t note the exact cost. Oops.

I’m a bit obsessed with pantries, so this small pantry setup caught my attention. They used the Broder shelving series to transform a small room into an organized pantry — tidy and practical.

We lingered at a cabinet display while watching the drawers demonstrate durability — they opened and closed repeatedly — and Clara was completely mesmerized.

Speaking of Clara, the kids’ bedding selection was adorable. A woodland duvet would suit a rustic room with faux sheepskin and wooden beams, while a modern green duvet would pop in a room with charcoal walls and white furniture.

For adult bedding, the Malin Blad duvet ($19.99) felt like a ballpoint-pen sketch — an inky, artistic look that’s understated and interesting.

I picked up two Malin Figur pillow covers for $7 each — irresistible. I can already imagine building a “big girl” room around them for Clara.

The Benzy Land map pillow ($12.99) was cute too — I pictured it in a navy den with wood furniture and a brick fireplace, a cozy, slightly adventurous vibe.

We wandered the fabric section, which always has great options. Two fabrics stood out: one felt like a very abstract ikat in soft colors that matched the pillow covers, and the other was a modern floral illustration — both lovely choices.

I always stop to admire the curtains — I swear I photograph them every visit.

Clara got fully involved in curtain hunting and made us laugh — she was so into it.

The IKEA PS kids’ light was playful — you can fill it with toys, trinkets, or craft supplies. It would also be cute in a craft room filled with colorful thread spools.

A $10 poster (Bild, cosmos 4) caught my eye and almost came home with me because it matched the pillow covers. Apparently I’m slowly assembling Clara’s big girl room — while the playroom still overflows with half-finished projects.

The new Applaro potting/storage bench ($126.96) was sweet; the colorful planters on top were right up my alley.

We also checked the As-Is section and found a nearly new piece at 33% off, already assembled — a great find if you can fit it in your car.

And that wraps up our IKEA adventure. Anyone else been recently? Were you as into the Hogsten and Storsele as I was? Did you grab an ice cream cone on the way out?

We (well, Clara) had a quick outfit change before visiting family — maybe should’ve done that after the ice cream.
Psst — just to reiterate, this post wasn’t sponsored. I enjoy taking you shopping with me. Check out our other window shopping sprees from Richmond and travels to see more finds.
Pssst — we’re also over on Young House Life chatting about Burger and what he doesn’t like. He’s got opinions.
