Oh happy day! We have another design-after story to share with all you makeover lovers. A few months ago Corinne and her husband Keith asked for help with their formerly cluttered den. They had been working with a designer, but the budget tightened, so they reached out for a simpler transformation: turning a melting-pot room into a minimalist, modern TV lounge. Here’s the note they sent us:
We absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything!!! We have shown it to our friends and family and they all love it too. You should expect some e-mail orders from them in the near future. Thanks a million. We already told you this but we LOVE the room!!!!! – Corinne & Keith
Below are the before photos to refresh your memory:

We created a clean mood board to guide the shift from cluttered to crisp. The concept emphasized streamlined furniture, a limited color palette, and layered textures to keep the space modern yet inviting.
Here are the fresh, minimal after photos of the same space:

Didn’t Corinne and Keith do a fabulous job? The sculptural light fixture becomes a focal point, while pops of orange energize the room against a textured green rug and coordinating curtains. The result is clean and modern but still cheerful and comfortable. It’s a great example of how editing a space and adding a few well-chosen pieces can turn a room of dated furniture into a relaxed, purposeful lounge.
We’re always delighted to receive after photos — they’re the best part of any makeover. Congratulations to the homeowners for pulling the look together so well; this transformation proves that thoughtful choices make a big impact.
Update: We no longer have capacity for client-commissioned custom mood boards and instead create general inspiration boards. If that changes in the future, we’ll announce it here.
