We spent the holiday with family, but wanted to drop this big giveaway announcement before the weekend. After we agreed to speak at this year’s R.Home for the Holidays event on November 8th (an event we’ve attended for years), the idea of giving away a trip to Richmond popped up. Richmond Magazine and Visit Richmond VA loved the idea and helped bring it to life. The prize turned out even bigger and better than we imagined — one lucky person will receive a true Richmond experience.
The grand prize includes round-trip airfare from anywhere in the continental United States (arriving Thursday, Nov 8 and departing Sunday, Nov 11) and a rental car for your stay, courtesy of Visit Richmond VA. You’ll stay three nights at Richmond’s landmark hotel, The Jefferson, and receive tickets to R.Home for the Holidays on Thursday night where we’ll be speaking and doing a book signing.
In addition to the event tickets, the prize package includes dining and shopping treats. Enjoy a $100 gift card to one of our favorite restaurants, The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing, which overlooks the river and is a special spot for us personally.
We also arranged $100 gift cards from several local favorites so you can shop and explore Richmond’s unique stores: La Difference, Mongrel, Quirk Gallery, and the consignment trio Clover (kids), Clementine (adults) and Ashby (teens).
Richmond Magazine and Visit Richmond VA included passes to top local attractions, such as the Chihuly glass exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and a Real Richmond Food Tour that highlights several local restaurants in one evening. There’s plenty to see and taste during your stay.
