After Jordan and Landon shared their incredibly affordable and beautiful kitchen makeover with us, we wanted to see more. When they invited us to House Crash their home, we jumped at the chance. Since it’s their house, they’re the best people to give you the tour, so we’re handing the virtual mic to them. Meanwhile, we’re busy tidying our own place to try and impress a few potential buyers this weekend (fingers crossed). Enjoy the tour!
Welcome to our home in Columbia, South Carolina! We’re Jordan & Landon from landonjacob.com.

You’ve already seen the kitchen, but here’s the photo again to refresh your memory:

This is our dining room. The wine bottles came from a wedding venue we shoot at often—we had them save the bottles and we used a bottle cutter to turn them into decor.

The leaning mirror is a DIY project. We bought mirrored closet doors from Craigslist for $40 for the pair, dismantled an old weathered pallet, and made two mirrors—one for the dining room and one for the hallway.

Our dining table is a thrift store steal—just $10—and always gets comments. The chairs and bench were yard sale finds, and the ottoman was a curbside treasure from a friend.
Next up, our living room:

Landon made the rustic frames from pallets; we love that reclaimed wood and used it throughout the house. The ottoman was inspired by a DIY we admired and recreated to fit our space.

The old wine bottle crate doubles as a magazine holder. Our end tables are vintage suitcases mounted on legs, and the hanging baskets by the sofa are an Ikea find—the idea came from browsing the catalog. The doors above the bookcases are original to the house, so we incorporated them into the room as a nod to the home’s history.
In our bedroom we added beadboard wainscoting and hung a collection of inexpensive frames that I spray-painted white to create a simple gallery wall.

Here’s our bathroom. We love large mirrors because they open up a space and make rooms feel brighter and larger.

This little hallway is one of my favorite spots in the house—it’s cozy and about the size of our other rooms. The chairs were thrifted for $40 and reupholstered, and the mirror is the second one we made from Craigslist mirrored doors and pallet wood. We finished it off with a lotus light fixture from Ikea.

This is our office and craft room. We scored that craft table for $5. Music is big in our household—my dad was a musician and Landon is one too—so instruments double as decor; the blue guitar fits the room perfectly as a colorful, artistic accent.

This is the spare bedroom. The bed was a Craigslist find and the bright orange curtains were a Goodwill score for about $1.50—small, inexpensive touches that make a big impact.

Our spare bathroom was a big project. It’s tiny, so it’s hard to photograph, but we transformed it from a mess into a functional, attractive space. We installed a sink and faucet inspired by another bathroom overhaul and mounted them on an antique wash stand we found. Of course we added another large mirror to help the room feel bigger.

That’s our house. Thanks so much for letting us share it with you! – Jordan & Landon
Who’s jealous? We definitely are. Thanks to Jordan and Landon for opening their home and sharing so many affordable DIY ideas. We’re inspired—what’s your favorite part?
