When Katie sent photos of her living room makeover, the transformation left us impressed. Below is the letter she shared describing the changes.
Hi everyone! I wanted to share my living room redesign. When we first saw the house, the living room (and the rest of the house) wasn’t our style at all.

Over the past year we tackled several updates (and welcomed baby boy #3 last summer), so it felt great to paint the room, replace the lighting, and source some great pieces from Craigslist and garage sales.

The drapes came from my son Isaac’s nursery and I added pom-pom trim for a playful touch.

I’m really enjoying the new canvas I picked up. Now I’m debating wall color — should I go dark? Navy blue, charcoal gray, aubergine, or chocolate? My husband is rolling his eyes already! Hope you enjoy the space as much as we do! – Katie

Thanks for sharing, Katie. She also tells a handy story on how she saved money on that large rug — you can read more on her blog. Highlights we love: the bold graphic throw on the sofa and the skull artwork. Sherry’s favorites are the wall sconces, the comfortable sofa, and the iconic egg chair.
Which wall color would you choose? Cast your informal vote: navy blue for a classic deep tone, charcoal gray for a sophisticated neutral, aubergine for a rich, moody purple, or chocolate for a warm, cozy feel.
