Remember when we visited Jaime’s colorful, cozy home last June? (More on that visit is available on her original post.)

Jaime recently redid her back deck and kindly shared photos with us. The result is warm, inviting and packed with easy DIY ideas you can use at home.

One standout is the daybed beneath a breezy canvas canopy. Jaime made the awning herself, and the whole setup looks both comfortable and practical for lazy afternoons.

Get a closer look and you’ll notice the clever construction of the daybed…

…it’s built from repurposed pallets. Jaime put together a handy tutorial showing how she built it herself, so it’s a very achievable weekend project.

Nearby, a cozy dining nook mixes natural textures with sleek metal chairs — a combination that feels both relaxed and polished. The chevron bench cushion adds bold graphic interest, and the hanging fabric garlands bring a playful, homemade touch.

The space reads like a delicious outdoor room: intimate and private, yet open and airy. It’s a thoughtful balance that invites lingering conversations and long meals.

Pretty table settings make everything feel special — casual enough for everyday use, but styled with care.

John couldn’t help but admire the wheel-like details at the base of the sideboard — a small design flourish that adds character and visual interest.

There’s also a charming ceramic-animal vignette displayed beside a large jug of pink lemonade — an adorable, whimsical touch that feels celebratory.
