Random.org had quite the task of sifting through so many entries this week, but it has randomly selected our winner as… Kelley (who has so many ideas for how to use the gift card, including a fireplace surround, kitchen backsplash or master bath floor). Congrats!
This week’s giveaway was one of our biggest ever: The Tile Shop generously provided a $1,500 gift card to help one lucky reader finally tackle a tile project they’ve been dreaming about. That amount can cover more than $1,000 in tile plus many of the tools and materials needed to complete a DIY installation.
To make the project easier, The Tile Shop suggested a shopping list of essentials: buckets, a wet saw, a notched trowel, a margin trowel, a rubber float, a mixer bar, tile nippers, knee pads, rubber spacers, flexible grout admixture, grout, a sealer kit, caulk and thinset. Together these items cover the basics for many tile jobs from backsplashes and shower surrounds to floors and fireplace surrounds.
