Young House Love turns one this week (insert party kazoo sound effect here). To celebrate, we’ve planned several ways to mark the incredible year we’ve shared with you.
First, we’ve scheduled a week of blogiversary posts that look back on some of our—and your—favorite entries, paired with new stories and behind-the-scenes details. We’ll also give you a chance to weigh in on what Young House Love should become in year two.
Before all that, we want to say “thank you.” We never imagined that a year ago, starting a small blog to document our kitchen remodel would grow into a full-time project. Your enthusiasm and support made that possible. We still get genuinely excited every time someone leaves a comment — it keeps us motivated and reminds us why we started this in the first place.
Even more surprising are the unexpected opportunities your support has brought. We’ve appeared in newspapers and magazines, and we’re eagerly anticipating our debut on HGTV. We even received a call from Oprah’s team, which felt surreal. While the exposure is thrilling, the greatest reward is being able to do what we love every day and support ourselves doing it. For that, we are truly grateful to each and every one of you.
