DIY Lily Bouquet: Step-by-Step Guide to Create Your Own Arrangement

I’m back to share my monthly bouquet — a sweet Christmas gift from my husband. Like last month’s roundup of roses, this month’s blooms didn’t come from the grocery store. Instead of buying a $3–$5 bouquet, we clipped white lilies from the backyard and arranged them in the sunroom. They bring life to a mix of vases and recycled beverage and wine bottles, some saved from our wedding:

I love the large white petals and the deep chocolate speckles that hover over each bloom.

We often change the vase or the location for our budget bouquets to create a fresh look each time. While last month’s collection brightened the living room, this arrangement greets us at the back door — we park in the backyard and enter through the sunroom, so we see the flowers coming and going. It’s also a nice reminder that almost anything can be a vase, so hold on to those Pellegrino bottles and empty jars.
