This spontaneous Friday post was inspired by a message from Kari on Instagram: “40% off capiz lamps at West Elm. Just saying!” I immediately dove into the sale and ended up buying a giant capiz chandelier I’m excited to hang over our bed. I also almost purchased a dozen other items (there were about 14 things in my cart before John stepped in). So here’s a roundup of the best housewares and decor on sale—no mood boards, just photos and product mentions. The chandelier I bought is shown below.

Capiz is my decorating love language, and this oversized chandelier was originally $479 and is now $239 with free shipping. It’s huge and the polished nickel hardware at the top is stunning.
We’ve been wanting a larger bedroom chandelier for a while because our bedroom stretches over 20 feet. The smaller flower-like fixture currently in the room looks nice from one angle, but from the foot of the bed it feels too small.

Our plan is to move the smaller fixture to the master closet or bathroom when we remodel since it suits that size better. I can already picture the new chandelier centered above the bed—can’t wait!
We also have a West Elm capiz chandelier in the dining room that was a big splurge for us. It’s currently priced at $239, down from $379, and ships free.

Here’s a closer shot of that dining room fixture—such a beauty.

There’s also a rectangular capiz chandelier that would be perfect over a kitchen island or dining table. It was $349 and is now $209 with free shipping.

A gray capiz shade with a triangle pattern would look lovely in an office, bedroom, or over a table. It was $209 and is now $124, also with free shipping.

These round capiz orbs are great grouped together—imagine three hanging in a foyer, or two or three down an 8-foot hallway instead of recessed lights. The smaller one is on sale from $209 to $124 with free shipping.

Longtime readers may remember the bedroom chandelier we had in our first house—this new oversized one feels like a nod to that original fixture where my capiz obsession began. The smaller style is now just $94, down from $159, and a larger version is also discounted.

I also fell for an octagon inlay mirror I saw in person a few months ago. It was $349 and is now $199. I don’t have a spot for it yet, so I’m debating whether to wait—fear of missing out aside, it’s a gorgeous piece.

Gold frames in various sizes are 50% off and would be perfect for a gallery wall in an entryway, dining room, living room, or bedroom. There are matching silver frames with the same slim profile and crisp white mats also 50% off—mixing metals in a gallery wall looks great.
A chic little nightstand with striking hardware and solid legs (similar to the dresser we bought years ago) is marked down from $399 to $278.

A larger campaign-style wood dresser with gold hardware is now $679, reduced from $849. Still an investment, but the styling and construction justify the price for many.

For a fun, giftable item, there’s a tiny decorative gold bicycle for $16 with free shipping—utterly charming. A stone bookend that’s been on my list is now $39; it’s one of those pieces you keep forever.

Brass-and-glass terrarium vases are pretty and unexpected—the smaller one is down from $44 to $35 and makes a lovely gift.

There’s a sweet gold kitty ring dish for $13, and simple white stockings that are soft and monogrammable are now $16 (down from $30). Plaid stockings, especially the gray option, are also on sale for $13.

A statement sofa in “shelter blue” with an 84″ single-seat cushion was $1300 and is now $1029. I love the sleek look of one long cushion—clean lines and cozy appeal without the seams where crumbs hide.

Kids’ chairs are on sale and ridiculously tempting. One style is $54 down from $99; another spindle chair is $39, reduced from $69. I already have too many kids’ chairs, but they’re so cute I keep wanting more.

Super furry slippers are down from $30 to $16 in several colors. And if you’re in the market for a Vita-Mix, you can save up to $150—many people swear by theirs.

That’s the roundup—dreaming of a home full of capiz lights, gallery walls, kids’ chairs, and cozy finds. I’m working on a full holiday decor post next, with an abundance of bottle brush trees. Ho ho ho!
