As our sixth blogiversary winds down (and we pack away the t-shirt launchers and airhorns until next year), we want to say thank you for being part of the ride. Last year we wrapped up with a graphic-packed recap of reader poll results, and this year nearly 30,000 of you completed the survey from Wednesday’s post — a huge jump from our very first blogiversary when I manually copied 199 comment responses into a spreadsheet. It’s been fascinating to compare what’s changed (and what hasn’t) since last year, and to hear more about what makes our readers tick.
For anyone who prefers words over pictures, here’s the short version: most of you are women in your 20s and 30s, married, who enjoy reading blogs and books — and could probably use a bit more dancing in your lives (honestly, who couldn’t?). If you don’t fit the majority in any category, don’t worry: you’re not outliers, you’re extra special. We love a diverse mix of perspectives around here.
