DIY Cork Board Jewelry Organizer: Step-by-Step Guide

When Christy from Simply Dwell shared photos of her jewelry organization system, we knew it was too good not to feature. Here’s what she wrote about her project:

As a daily reader, I loved how Sherry posted her solution to organizing her jewelry. I prefer bold, large-scale displays for my pieces, so here’s how I organized mine:

1. Start with a store-bought cork message board.
2. Sand and paint the trim a dark brown.
3. Choose a pretty fabric, cut to size, and secure it with hot glue.
4. Select coordinating ribbon and cut it to run horizontally across the board.
5. Pin the ribbon in place with thumbtacks.
6. Screw small cup hooks along the bottom to hang necklaces.
7. Add a ribbon loop to hang the finished board — ta-da!

It’s been working great. My earrings are visible every morning, and my necklaces stay tangle-free. Thanks for the inspiration — keep those ideas coming! – Christy

Isn’t that chic and practical? We love how the arrangement displays everything like a small gallery, making it easy to see and select pieces each day. The artichoke-patterned fabric adds a playful, stylish touch. Thanks for sharing your mini makeover, Christy!
