Picking the right paint color can be the toughest part of updating a room. Behr’s Paint Your Place tool simplifies that process. This free online tool lets you virtually paint your rooms with just a few clicks, making it easy to experiment without lifting a brush. We uploaded a photo of our small third bedroom to test a bold option for a future nursery. We tried Thermal Spring, and Sherry says it turns the room into a little jewel box.
The tool impressed us by preserving the photo’s existing shadows and sun patches, so the virtual paint looked natural and realistic. The color selector makes it simple to fine-tune tones — lighten, darken, or shift the hue toward more green or more blue until it feels right.
To enter the giveaway when it was open, readers were asked to leave a comment on the post with the words “BEHR WITH ME” by Wednesday, April 1st at 8pm EST, and to mention a room they were planning to repaint and which color they were considering. The contest was open to residents of the US and Canada, with one entry allowed per e-mail address.
