How to Create Engaging Infographics That Drive Traffic

Back when we shared that post of playful charts and graphs based on our 2012 reader survey, we discovered how much readers enjoy infographics. With that in mind, we compiled and illustrated a collection of memorable facts and figures from our recent book tour. Think of it as a concise info-scrapbook that captures that hectic time in our lives in under 100 words—so we can always look back and remember the highlights. Below you’ll find where we went, what we did, and even a few pounds we picked up along the way. Enjoy!

What we couldn’t capture in numbers, however, was the warmth and generosity of the people we met on the road. We are deeply grateful to everyone who took time from their busy lives to welcome us to their city. Your support turned long hours in cars, taxis, and planes into a genuinely rewarding experience.

How do you travel? Do you track any numbers—states or countries visited, miles flown, or events attended? My mom aims to visit every state capitol and she’s already more than halfway there. What’s the longest flight you’ve endured? Have you ever worn the same trusty Target blazer to dozens of events? Some might not admit it, but as a husband I secretly love that kind of dedication.
