Hunting Lodge Chic: Rustic Interior Mood Board and Design Ideas

We don’t yet know exactly what our future living room will look like, but right now these are the elements I’m loving:

  1. Soft gray walls—think Benjamin Moore Light Pewter—paired with crisp, glossy white trim for a clean, modern backdrop.
  2. A large, comfortable sectional with washable covers in a warm gray-brown tone. Practical, cozy, and surprisingly affordable at $848.
  3. Woven round ottomans that can be moved around for casual texture and extra seating when needed.
  4. A sleek, high-gloss gray TV stand from IKEA to better fit a room large enough for a big sectional.
  5. A wool rug with a modern gray and lime green pattern. An 8 x 10 would be ideal for seating an expansive sectional, though the price makes me hope for a sale.
  6. A white decorative deer head mounted above the fireplace or above a wide doorway to complement animal-inspired accents like lime and caramel zebra pillows.
  7. The zebra-patterned pillows in lime and caramel tones to add a bold, exotic touch.
  8. Bold green curtains, which could be DIYed with fabric and hem tape—similar to the ones we made for our daughter’s nursery.

That’s the current vision for the living room—everything floating around in my head at the moment. I’m impatient to get started; I feel like that kid in the back seat asking “are we there yet?” every few minutes.
