Tiffany made our Labor Day by sending stunning after photos of her family room, which she redesigned using the globe-trotting moodboard we created for her a few months ago. Before we show the full reveal, here’s a quick look at the family room before the makeover:

Tiffany asked us to help her create a cohesive scheme that felt worldly but still modern. Working with her existing sofa, chairs, and TV, we developed a global-inspired moodboard to refresh the space and give it a well-traveled, curated feel.
Tiffany followed the plan closely and executed the design beautifully. The result is a polished family room that feels both layered and livable. Take a look at the dramatic transformation:

One sign that Tiffany loves the new room: she’s even watching TV while staying perfectly in the new color palette. An even clearer sign was her gracious note:
I can’t decide which piece is my favorite, I just love it all. I thought the white table was a weird idea, but now that it’s here, it does exactly as you promised. The room feels lighter because of it. The rug is amazing and has really pulled the room together. The curtains, I don’t even know what to say there – perfection. The room has so many layers and so much texture now which is just what I wanted. Now, if I want to change things up, I can just switch out pillows or a few accessories with a different pop of color. I dig that. I love just sitting in this room now and can’t wait to have a get together soon. Seriously, I was trying to talk my husband into moving before because I hated this room so much and have redone it four times in the 5+ years we’ve lived here. Silly right, but it’s the room we spend the most time in besides our bedroom. I’ll be needing another mood board soon, I just can’t decide which room to choose next. Thanks so much to you both. My husband thanks you too since I won’t be redoing this room for a long time. -Tiffany
We’re grateful Tiffany trusted our guidance and sent these lovely after photos. The curtains and rug work together so well, creating a worldly, layered look that feels both comfortable and sophisticated.

We completely sympathize with Tiffany’s husband—there’s definite relief when a long-standing project is finally finished. If Tiffany decides on a second room, we’ll be ready to help plan the next moodboard.
And Tiffany, when you host that get together, let us know—we’ll clear our calendars!
Update: We no longer have time to take on commissioned moodboards; instead we create general inspiration boards. If that policy changes, we’ll announce it.
